View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe authors analysed results from a hysterosalpingographic study on 58 women with primary sterility, on whom wedge resection of the ovaries was performed in the past. It was established that changes in the uterine tubes were found in more than 1/3 of the examined women and consisted mainly of periampullary adhesions as the two tubes were involved usually. On the basis of the obtained results an inference is made that the usage of resection of ovaries for treatment of some forms of female sterility should be applied only in cases, when conservative methods for treatment are completely inefficient.
