Insulin-like growth factor 1/Insulin-like growth factor 1-receptor (IGF-1/IGF-1R) pathway is highly breast cancer subtype context-dependent. Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive, highly metastatic cancer showing early recurrence and poor prognosis. High expression of IGF-1 and its receptor IGF-1R, their interaction, autophosphorylation, and activation of intracellular signaling cascades have been significantly associated with TNBC pathophysiology.

Pleural effusion is a common problem in our country, and most of these patients need invasive tests as they can't be evaluated by blood tests alone. The simplest of them is diagnostic pleural aspiration, and diagnostic techniques such as medical thoracoscopy are being performed more frequently than ever before. However, most physicians in India treat pleural effusion empirically, leading to delays in diagnosis, misdiagnosis and complications from wrong treatments.

Members of ONECUT transcription factor play an essential role in several developmental processes, however, the atypical expression of ONECUT proteins lead to numerous diseases, including cancer. ONECUT family proteins promote cell proliferation, progression, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis, and stemness. This family of proteins interacts with other proteins such as KLF4, TGF-β, VEGFA, PRC2, SMAD3 and alters their expression involved in the regulation of various signaling pathways including Jak/Stat3, Akt/Erk, TGF-β, Smad2/3, and HIF-1α.

Ketamine has been repeatedly demonstrated to be an effective treatment in the management of patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). An important question is whether it is equally or more effective than the current gold standard of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), as the adverse effects of ECT can lead to memory loss and neurocognitive deficits. A literature search was conducted for trials that directly compared the efficacy and adverse effects of ketamine and ECT via PubMed and Google Scholar.
