Muscle fatigue is a risk factor for injuries in athletes and workers. This brings relevance to the study of this biochemical process to allow for its identification and prevention. This paper presents a novel dataset for muscle fatigue analysis comprising surface electromyography data from upper-limbs and the subject's self-perceived fatigue level.

In South Africa, it is commonly found along the entire south and east coasts, including the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (IWP) in the far north, which is the largest Marine Protected Area on the South African coast. Pregnant females occur there for much of the year, with the largest aggregations in summer.

The power-over-fiber (PoF) technology is properly applied to simultaneously energize two components from the remote site, namely: a radio-over-fiber (RoF) module, which contains a photodetector and an RF amplifier; a red laser from the VLC system. The proposed PoF system is composed of a 500 m conventional multimode optical fiber (MMF) with a 62.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential mechanism by which s-Lim exerts its antiarrhythmic effect, focusing on the blockade of β-adrenoceptor (β-AR) and its effects on various in vivo and in vitro parameters, including electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements, left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP), the β-adrenergic pathway, sarcomeric shortening and L-type calcium current (I). In isolated hearts, 10 μM of s-Lim did not alter the ECG profile or LVPD.

Among these, real-time posture monitoring and assessment stands out as a crucial application given the rising prevalence of conditions like forward head posture (FHP). This paper proposes a wearable device that combines the acquisition of electromyographic signals from the cervical region with inertial data from inertial measurement units (IMUs) to assess the occurrence of FHP.
