Introduction: End-stage heart failure (ESHF) remains a significant challenge despite optimal treatment, with heart transplantation (HTx) being the gold standard of care. Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices such as left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) are increasingly used for temporary or permanent treatment.
