Background And Objective: Hypertension (HTN) has been linked to an elevated risk of prostate cancer (PC) development and poorer prognosis in localized cases, and is a common side effect of hormonal PC treatments. However, its relationship with the prognosis of metastatic PC is still unclear. We assessed the prognostic role of treatment-related HTN in patients with de novo metastatic hormone-sensitive PC (mHSPC) undergoing androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) alone or in combination with docetaxel or androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPIs).

Objective: To investigate the diagnostic performance of gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB)-enhanced MRI for distinguishing focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) from hepatocellular adenoma (HCA) in children.

Methods: Twenty-two patients (HCA, n = 6; FNH, n = 16) underwent MRI with Gd-EOB were retrospectively included in this study. The diagnosis was established by biopsy in eight patients and by imaging criteria and follow-up in 13 patients.

We have previously shown that CRP < 2.9 mg/L is a better predictor of endoscopic remission (ER) than CRP < 5 mg/L in ulcerative colitis (UC). Here, we prospectively evaluate CRP and FCP cut-offs and compare them in predicting ER and histological remission (HR) in UC.

Article Synopsis
  • Eurydema spectabilis, a type of true bug, uses a piercing-sucking mouth to feed on plant sap, and this study explores its digestive system and gland structures using advanced microscopy.
  • The alimentary canal is organized into three sections: foregut (with esophagus and proventriculus), midgut (with three ventricles and gastric caeca), and hindgut (including a pylorus and rectum containing bacteria and uric acid crystals).
  • Findings include distinct salivary glands (principal and accessory), specialized epithelium in various gut regions, and detailed observations of the Malpighian tubules, contributing valuable insights for future research.
