Background: Healthcare-associated infections pose a significant global challenge, highlighting the need for enhanced knowledge and practices among healthcare professionals. This study investigates the impact of clinical observations on nursing students' compliance with standard precautions.

Methods: Employing a cross-sectional descriptive design, the study surveyed 405 nursing students using a 'Personal Information Form', the 'Nurses' Observations on Infection Control and Prevention Questionnaire', the 'Standard Precautions Scale', and the 'Factors Affecting Compliance with Standard Precautions Scale'.

Relationship between compassion fatigue, conscience stress, and perceived quality of care in emergency nurses.

Background: Examining factors affecting nursing care is vital for enhancing practices, improving care quality, and achieving desired patient outcomes.

Aim: To explore emergency nurses' perceptions of care quality, compassion fatigue and conscience stress levels; and evaluate the mediating role of conscience stress between compassion fatigue and perception of nursing care quality.

Methods: This cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted between April 1 and September 1, 2022, with 384 nurses working in emergency departments across Turkey.
