Background: Sarcopenia is an age-related syndrome marked by a gradual decline in skeletal muscle mass and function. While various factors influencing sarcopenia have been studied, the link between daily sedentary time and sarcopenia remains underexplored.
Method: This study analyzed the association between daily sitting time and sarcopenia using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES 2011-2018).
The aim of the study was to evaluate the concomitant psychiatric disorders of anxiety and depression in patients with epilepsy caused by low-grade brain tumors (LBTs). We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of patients who underwent preoperative neuropsychological evaluations of anxiety and depression and subsequent epilepsy surgery for LBTs. The univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to analyze the risk factors of the occurrence of anxiety and depression.

Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a severe complication of diabetes mellitus and has the complex pathogenesis. The previous study reported that protein kinase Bγ (AKT3) was involved in DN progression. Our aim was to explore the detailed mechanisms of AKT3 in DN development.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA dual-mode detection platform utilizing colorimetric and Raman was developed based on the exponential amplification reaction (EXPAR) strategy and a "core-satellite" structure constructed by bimetallic nanozymes to detect chloramphenicol (CAP). Initially, DNA-gated metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) incorporating cascaded amplification were used to be nanocarriers for the colorimetric and Raman reporter molecules (3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbiphenyl; TMB). Subsequently, assembled DNA served as gatekeepers to create a stimulus-responsive DNA-gated MOF (TMB@DNA/MOF).
