Objectives: This systematic review aimed to determine whether bioactive resin materials can prevent secondary caries or enhance the longevity of direct posterior restorations.
Data Sources: The protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42024561179). The review followed PRISMA guidelines, utilizing a PICO framework.
This case report details the esthetic rehabilitation of a 32-year-old male patient suffering from sleep bruxism, primarily manifesting as a fracture and significant loss of tooth structure in the anterior maxillary central incisors. To address these concerns, the patient underwent a restorative treatment involving the application of semidirect resin composite veneers on the maxillary incisors and direct resin composite restoration on the incisal regions of the maxillary canines. This approach not only restored the functional integrity of the teeth but also significantly enhanced the patient's esthetic appearance.

Methods And Materials: A total of 63 patients in need of 203 NCCL restorations participated in this randomized controlled clinical trial. Notch-shaped lesions were restored with Kalore (GC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) after application of either SU or PBE, following the etch-and-rinse (ER) or self-etch (SE) techniques.
Background/aim: Sports practices carry a risk for orofacial injuries and, to avoid them, preventive measures are necessary. The aim of this study was to investigate a web of extrinsic determinants for orofacial trauma in sports.
Materials And Methods: Through a scoping review, eight extrinsic risk factors for sports-related orofacial trauma emerged from the thematic analysis.
