Background: Training primary care doctors and nurses to use Practical Approach to Care Kit (PACK) improved management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in a previous randomised trial. The present study examined the training effects including a second year of follow-up with expanded coverage of repeated training sessions.
Methods: Using a stepped-wedge cluster randomised trial design, 48 clinics were randomly allocated either to sequence A: (1) no intervention, (2) no intervention, (3) intervention or sequence B: (1) no intervention, (2) intervention, (3) intervention, during three 12-month periods.
Aims: The knowledge of the molecular players that regulate the generation of endoderm cells is imperative to obtain homogenous population of pancreatic β-cells from stem cells. The Ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) has been envisaged as a crucial intracellular protein degradation system, but its role in the generation of β-cells remains elusive. Hence, it would be appropriate to unravel the potential role of UPS in endoderm specification and utilize the understanding to generate β-cells from pluripotent stem cells.

The Schiff base demonstrated excellent adsorption capacity and reusability, with high removal efficiency and rapid adsorption kinetics. The results were supported by theoretical density functional theory simulations, which revealed the enhanced dynamic nature of the Schiff base system for heavy metal adsorption.

A prospective, interventional, non randomized and non comparative study was conducted at the ESIC Medical College and PGIMSR. All patients of chronic otitis media of squamosal type undergoing modified radical mastoidectomy were included in the study.
