Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment on meibomian gland disease.

Settings And Design: This is a prospective interventional study.

Methods: Seventy eyes of patients with dry eye disease undergoing three sessions of IPL therapy, 15 days apart, were included.

Introduction: Although commonly encountered in clinical practice and considered among the "bread and butter" cases in trauma and orthopedics, intertrochanteric fractures of the femur in certain scenarios pose a challenge to the orthopedic surgeon. Good reduction and stable fixation are a key for good outcome, and certain anatomical limitations such as amputations make that difficult to achieve. Ipsilateral above-knee amputation is a scenario where positioning of the patient on an orthopedic fracture table and reduction of the fracture becomes challenging.

Intestinal transplantation (ITx) is the definitive treatment for intestinal failure but has the highest rejection rate among solid organ transplants, requiring high doses of immunosuppressive medication, which is associated with high rates of infection, graft-versus-host disease, and malignancy. Beyond Tradition: "Figure of 8" Casting for Gartland Type 1 and Type 2A Pediatric Supracondylar Fractures of Humerus: Video Technique.

Introduction: In the treatment of paediatric supracondylar humerus fractures (SCHFs), Gartland Type 1 fractures are traditionally managed with in situ above elbow casting, while Type 2A fractures are treated with closed reduction and above elbow casting.

Surgical Technique: This technical note introduces a novel "figure of 8" cast technique for Type I and 2A fractures. The technique aims to maintain fracture reduction while reducing the risk of compartment syndrome by avoiding placement of cast material in the anterior elbow crease.
