Background: Postoperative sore throat (POST) is a common occurrence following general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation although clinicians often regard it as a minor complication. The incidence of POST is estimated to be 21%-65% in different studies. The administration of the drug through aerosol route gained popularity among anesthesiologists with good acceptance from the patients.

Delayed gastric emptying time in adult cerebral Falciparum malaria.

Objective: We hypothesize that upper gastrointestinal symptoms in cerebral malaria are due to gastric motor dysfunction. But gastric motility studies in cerebral malaria are scarce.

Methods: We determined gastric emptying half-time (GET½) of liquid meals quantitatively by radio isotope scintigraphy in 25 patients of cerebral malaria and 10 healthy controls.

Toxicity and side-effects of combination chemohormonal therapy of advanced breast cancer.

Seventy-five female patients suffering from advanced breast cancer were treated with toilet mastectomy, radiotherapy and oophorectomy (if premenopausal) or tamoxifen therapy (if postmenopausal) as well as chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, 5-fluorouracil and prednisone.
