The use of pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) has demonstrated effectiveness in the management of femoral head osteonecrosis as well as nonunion fractures; however, the effects of PEMF on preventing glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) have not been extensively studied. The aim of this investigation was to explore the effectiveness of PEMF stimulation in averting GIOP in rats and uncover the potential fundamental mechanisms involved. A total of seventy-two adult male Wistar rats composed the experimental group and were subsequently assigned to three groups for treatment.

A new corrole derivative bearing 8-hydroxyquinoline moiety, which was labeled as 8-HQ-Corrole, serves as an efficient fluorescent probe for Mg in the presence of various interferents. This probe 8-HQ-Corrole displayed an ultra-fast response (2 s) to Mg with an impressive detection limit (33 nM) and a significant fluorescence enhancement, accompanying with a blue shift from 667 to 653 nm in fluorescence spectrum. MS and Job's plot analysis indicated that the enhanced fluorescence response was attributable to the formation of 1:2 stoichiometric complex between to Mg and 8-HQ-Corrole involving quinoline nitrogen and oxygen atoms.

Background: Intratumoral oncolytic herpes simplex virus 2-GM CSF (OH2) injection has shown safety and antitumor efficacy in patients with solid tumors. Here, we examined the safety and efficacy of OH2 as a single agent or in combination with HX008, an NMPA-approved PD-1 inhibitor, in locally advanced or metastatic sarcoma patients.

Methods: This multicenter, phase 1/2 trial enrolled patients with injectable sarcoma lesions, who had failed at least 1 or more lines of standard treatment.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the clinical relevance of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) in urothelial carcinoma (UC) and its association with glycolytic metabolic markers, insulin resistance, and beta-cell function, shedding light on potential therapies targeting both HER2 pathways and cancer metabolism.

Methods: In this retrospective analysis, 237 UC patients from the Departments of Urology and Pathology at Shandong Provincial Hospital were examined. From 1 January 2023, to 1 October 2024, patients underwent HER2 testing using immunohistochemistry (IHC).

Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors have attracted a considerable amount of interest as channel materials for future transistors. Patterning of 2D semiconductors is crucial for separating continuous monolayers into independent units. However, the state-of-the-art 2D patterning process is largely based on photolithography and high-energy plasma/RIE etching, leading to unavoidable residues and degraded device uniformity, which remains a critical challenge for the practical application of 2D electronics.
