Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a conserved cellular process critical for embryogenesis, wound healing, and cancer metastasis. During EMT, cells undergo large-scale metabolic reprogramming that supports multiple functional phenotypes including migration, invasion, survival, chemo-resistance and stemness. However, the extent of metabolic network rewiring during EMT is unclear.

Objective: This double-blinded randomized clinical trial aimed to compare postoperative pain using 2Shape® (TS) in rotary (TSRot) and adaptive (TSAK) kinematics in the maxillary and mandibular molars in patients with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and symptomatic apical periodontitis following single-visit endodontic treatment.

Methods: Seventy patients were randomly assigned to two groups (TSRot /TSAK), (n=35 each). The preoperative and postoperative pain intensities at various time intervals up to 72h using a Visual-Analogue Scale was noted.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance presents a formidable challenge, yet its existence predates the introduction of antibiotics. Our study delves into the presence of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) in ancient permafrost microbiomes, comparing them with contemporary soil and pristine environments. Majority of the samples are from regions around Beringia, encompassing parts of Russia and Alaska, with only one sample originating from the Tien Shan Mountain range in Kyrgyzstan.

The electrocatalytic oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions (OER and HER) are key processes used in energy storage and conversion. We have developed a highly efficient MnCoO nanostructure anchored with functionalized carbon black (MnCoO/f-CB), which has been characterized by XRD, FT-IR, Raman spectra, FE-SEM, and HR-TEM analyses as robust bifunctional electrocatalysts for both HER and OER. At a characteristic 10 mA cm current density, the MnCoO/f-CB composite ECs exhibit low overpotentials of 330 mV for OER and 360 mV for HER, respectively.

Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDPs) remain a major challenge in maternal health. Early prediction of HDPs is crucial for timely intervention. Most existing predictive machine learning (ML) models rely on costly methods like blood, urine, genetic tests, and ultrasound, often extracting features from data gathered throughout pregnancy, delaying intervention.
