Purpose: To investigate the effect of tamsulosin on iris morphology, ciliary muscle thickness (CMT), pupil diameter (PD), and pupil responses to light using anterior segment optical coherence tomography and corneal topography.
Design: Prospective clinical before-and-after study METHODS: The right eyes of 43 patients with newly diagnosed benign prostatic hyperplasia were included in this study. Iris dilator muscle region (DMR) thickness, sphincter muscle region (SMR) thickness, DMR/SMR ratio, PD (scotopic, mesopic and photopic light conditions), CMT1 (1 mm posterior to the scleral spur), CMT2 (2 mm posterior to the scleral spur), CMT3 (3 mm posterior to the scleral spur) and anterior chamber depth (ACD) were measured before and after dilation.
The assessment of phenolic compounds in food samples, environmental samples, and medical applications has gained importance recently. Here, we present research on novel conjugated polymer nanoparticles (P-PimBzBt NPs) and their composites with two-dimensional titanium disulfide nanosheets (2D-TiS) for electrochemical tyrosinase (TYR)-based catechol detection. P-PimBzBt NPs are decorated with 2D-TiS to enhance the electrochemical performance for biosensing.

Methods: In this registry study, 558 patients from 47 centers who were treated with at least one immunosuppressive agent and had adequate follow-up data were included. Primary outcome was defined as complete (CR) or partial remission (PR).
Parkinson's is the most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's. Motor findings in Parkinson's occur as a result of the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons starting in the substantia nigra pars compacta and ending in the putamen and caudate nucleus. Loss of neurons and the formation of inclusions called Lewy bodies in existing neurons are characteristic histopathological findings of Parkinson's.

Background And Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the choroidal structure in the early stage of Type 2 diabetic retinopathy (DR).
Materials And Methods: The study included patients with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) without edema ( = 30, NPDR group), patients with diabetes without retinopathy ( = 30, No DR group), and healthy subjects ( = 33, control group). Choroidal thickness (CT), total choroidal area (TCA), luminal area (LA), stromal area (SA), and choroidal vascularity index (CVI) were evaluated.
