Children's views on outdoor advertising of unhealthy food and beverages near schools.

Children are often exposed to unhealthy outdoor food advertisements during the school commute. This exposure can have negative public health consequences given childhood weight gain has been linked to the marketing of energy-dense and nutrient-poor foods. This study aimed to explore schoolchildren's lived experiences and attitudes towards outdoor advertising surrounding their schools.

Three-year mortality of ICU survivors with sepsis, an infection or an inflammatory illness: an individually matched cohort study of ICU patients in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2019.

Background: Sepsis is a frequent reason for ICU admission and a leading cause of death. Its incidence has been increasing over the past decades. While hospital mortality is decreasing, it is recognized that the sequelae of sepsis extend well beyond hospitalization and are associated with a high mortality rate that persists years after hospitalization.

Linking Dutch Intensive Care Registry Data to Socioeconomic Status Scores.

This study aimed to gain insight into the success rate of linking the NICE registry with SES data from CBS and to examine whether the characteristics of linked and non-linked patients differ. Although clinically relevant differences were found, in total 93,4% of the admissions were successfully linked.

Early childhood development strategy for the world's children with disabilities.

Early childhood is foundational for optimal and inclusive lifelong learning, health and well-being. Young children with disabilities face substantial risks of sub-optimal early childhood development (ECD), requiring targeted support to ensure equitable access to lifelong learning opportunities, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Although the Sustainable Development Goals, 2015-2030 (SDGs) emphasise inclusive education for children under 5 years with disabilities, there is no global strategy for achieving this goal since the launch of the SDGs.

Chirality-Driven Orbital Angular Momentum and Circular Dichroism in CoSi.

Chiral crystals and molecules were recently predicted to form an intriguing platform for unconventional orbital physics. Here, we report the observation of chirality-driven orbital textures in the bulk electronic structure of CoSi, a prototype member of the cubic B20 family of chiral crystals. Using circular dichroism in soft x-ray angle-resolved photoemission, we demonstrate the formation of a bulk orbital-angular-momentum texture and monopolelike orbital-momentum locking that depends on crystal handedness.
