[The assessment of the operative risk in vascular surgery].

The patients with peripheral, carotid or aortoiliac pathology suffer frequently from coronary disease; so, a careful evaluation of operative risk is indispensable related to the anatomic district that we intend submit to surgery. In this work we separately explore the risk related to peripheral revasculations, aortic surgery and carotid surgery following the current literature and our experience.

[Acute pancreatitis: clinical-tomographic correlations].

[Endometriosis of the abdominal wall after cesarean section].

The finding of endometriosis of the abdominal wall is a rare event; we describe three cases observed after cesarean section. The first case is an endometriosis of the rectus abdominis, first occurrence in literature. The second case describes a localization limited to the subcutaneous tissue.

[Validity and limitations of the CEA test in the treatment of colorectal carcinoma].

CEA appears to be a good marker in the follow up of patients operated for colorectal cancer. The Authors analyse, on the base of literature data, the results of CEA test in their experience of colorectal cancers operated from 1978 to 1987. They confirm the importance of CEA as recurrence marker, however the test, by itself, is not sufficient to always identify a new onset of the disease.
