Article Synopsis
  • Shorebirds, like the Kentish Plover, are important for measuring the health of coastal areas, but many are losing their homes due to climate change and habitat loss.
  • This study focused on the Kentish Plover's nesting habits in Southern Italy and used satellite data to predict where they can safely nest in the future.
  • It found that suitable nesting areas for these birds could decrease by over 22% in the next 20 years, emphasizing the need to protect their habitats to save not just them, but other wildlife and coastal environments too.

The yeast was inoculated into two types of culture media: yeast extract-peptone-dextrose (YPD) broth and dried distiller's grains with solubles (DDG). The CW was extracted from the biomass produced in these media.

Pain is a significant issue in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis (PSA) and can have a negative impact on patients' quality of life. Despite optimal control of inflammatory disease, residual chronic pain remains a major unmet medical need in RA. Pain in RA can be secondary to inflammation but can also generate neuroendocrine responses that initiate neurogenic inflammation and enhance cytokine release, leading to persistent hyperalgesia.
