Subjective health and psychosomatic complaints of children and adolescents in Germany: Results of the HBSC study 2009/10 - 2022.

Background: Subjective health and well-being are important health indicators in childhood and adolescence. This article shows current results and trends over time between 2009/10 and 2022.

Methods: The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study examined subjective health, life satisfaction and psychosomatic complaints of N = 21,788 students aged 11 to 15 years in the school years 2009/10, 2013/14, 2017/18 and in the calendar year 2022.

Characterization of degeneration phenomena in lithium-ion batteries by combined microscopic techniques.

The application of detector strategies in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) correlated with computer tomography (CT) and light microscopy (LM) delivered unique new insights in degeneration effects of lithium-ion batteries. There we exemplary studied reference, cycled and storage cells. High-resolution SEM permit to visualize a coating on top of the cathode material of the treated cells for the first time, which also connects the conductive additives and battery active material.

Clinical relevance of dissolution testing in quality by design.

Quality by design (QbD) has recently been introduced in pharmaceutical product development in a regulatory context and the process of implementing such concepts in the drug approval process is presently on-going. This has the potential to allow for a more flexible regulatory approach based on understanding and optimisation of how design of a product and its manufacturing process may affect product quality. Thus, adding restrictions to manufacturing beyond what can be motivated by clinical quality brings no benefits but only additional costs.
