Freshwater resources supply has always presented challenges and considering a changing climate quantifying the available water in the future is important. In the Caribbean, based on projections it is likely that the island of Trinidad would receive less intense rainfall, experience more dry days, become drier and warmer, and the water resources be decreased. In this study, the impact of a changing climate on the Navet Reservoir in Trinidad was investigated and reservoir volumes were quantified for the period 2011-2099.

Objectives: Both chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and diabetes mellitus (DM) are highly prevalent in Trinidad, West Indies. Our objective was to evaluate the prevalence of DM in a cohort of Trinidadian patients with COPD and investigate the possible impact of diabetes on COPD using standard outcome measures, that is, lung function, exacerbations, quality of life and depression questionnaires, as well as mortality.

Materials And Methods: This was a cross-sectional follow-up study utilizing a cohort of 105 patients from chest clinics in the three major general hospitals in Trinidad.

The purpose of this review is to identify emerging or new psychoactive substances (NPS) by undertaking an online survey of the UK NPS market and to gather any data from online drug forums and published literature. Drugs from four main classes of NPS were identified: psychostimulants, dissociative anaesthetics, hallucinogens (phenylalkylamine-based and lysergamide-based materials) and finally benzodiazepines. For inclusion in the review, the 'user reviewers' on drugs forums were selected based on whether or not the particular NPS of interest was used alone or in combination.
