Background: The resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) technique controls abdominal, pelvic, junctional, and postpartum hemorrhage via aortic endoclamping. There are no protocols or clear indications guiding REBOA use in a two-tiered prehospital emergency medical system, as found in France.
