Vasant Ramji Khanolkar was the first Professor and Head of Pathology at Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College and King Edward Memorial VII Hospital [GSMC] in Bombay (now Mumbai). Although he later gained international recognition as a pathologist during his career at Tata Memorial Hospital, Bombay, after 1941, little is known about his scientific contributions during his years at GSMC. This article outlines his research and other academic activities at GSMC, with specific dates; his memberships in societies and the congresses he attended in India and Paris, France; and the examination patterns of the 1920s.

However, current non-invasive tools for quantitatively monitoring structural and functional changes in renal microcirculation remain limited, making early diagnosis difficult. To address this challenge, this work introduces a label-free 3D multi-parametric imaging technique that combines photoacoustic and super-resolution ultrasound imaging.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFImmune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) is a well-recognized complication in people with HIV (PWH) starting antiretroviral therapy (ART), but data on IRIS in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) recipients are limited. To address this gap, we conducted a narrative review of the literature on IRIS in HCT recipients, including 21 studies encompassing 53 patients. The majority of reported patients had inborn errors of immunity (IEI) and developed IRIS associated with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG)-infection from prior vaccination ("BCG-IRIS").

The common etiologies of secondary hypertension include renal parenchymal causes, endocrine disorders, and vascular pathologies like coarctation of the aorta (CoA).
Case Presentation: A 20-year-old patient was admitted to our hospital as he complained of headache and palpitations since one week.
Hereditary multiple exostoses (HME) is an autosomal dominant condition with variable penetrance. As per Dr Waller's audit of the Leeds regional bone tumour registry, 90 primary bone tumours of the thoracic skeleton were recorded, accounting for 4.5% of all cases in the registry.
