Patient's effective dose and performance assessment of computed radiography systems.

Computed tomography is widely used for planar imaging. Previous studies showed that CR systems involve higher patient radiation doses compared to digital systems. Therefore, assessing the patient's dose and CR system performance is necessary to ensure that patients received minimal dose with the highest possible image quality.

Complementary medicine seeking behaviour among infertile women: A sudanese study.

Introduction: It is not surprising in developing countries with psychological, familial and community pressure to produce child, infertile women, in addition to conventional medicine, seek various traditional methods and religious practices.This study was conducted in Sudan to explore the perspectives of currently married infertile Sudanese women on complementary medicine seeking behaviour with more emphasis on traditional self-management strategies.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey involving 203 infertile women was conducted.

How does participation in a voluntary prize exam affect medical students' knowledge and interest in ENT, plastic surgery, ophthalmology and dermatology?

Background: Otolaryngology (ENT), plastic surgery, ophthalmology and dermatology are medical specialties which tend to receive less coverage in UK medical school curricula compared to larger, generalist specialties. As a result, there are fewer opportunities for medical students to learn and to cultivate an interest. There are numerous papers that report concerns about junior doctors' ability to manage conditions within these specialties, which may jeopardise patient safety.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability of computed tomography texture analysis (CTTA) to provide additional prognostic information in patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) and high-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
