Introduction: The use of antibody titers against SARS-CoV-2, as a method of estimating subsequent infection following infection or vaccination, is unclear. Here, we investigate whether specific levels of antibodies, as markers of adaptive immunity, can serve to estimate the risk of symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 (re-) infection.
Methods: In this real-world study, laboratory data from individuals tested for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies under routine clinical conditions were linked through tokenization to a United States medical insurance claims database to determine the risk of symptomatic/severe SARS-CoV-2 infection outcomes.
COVID-19 has highlighted challenges in the measurement quality and comparability of serological binding and neutralization assays. Due to many different assay formats and reagents, these measurements are known to be highly variable with large uncertainties. The development of the WHO international standard (WHO IS) and other pool standards have facilitated assay comparability through normalization to a common material but does not provide assay harmonization nor uncertainty quantification.

Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted on subjects who underwent invasive mechanical ventilation and received at least 2 chest CT scans during admission.
Rectal prolapse is typically a benign idiopathic condition. Rarely, rectal prolapse can be due to or associated with colorectal carcinoma. Here we present a middle-aged gentleman with no previous medical or surgical history, who presented with rectal prolapse secondary to sigmoid adenocarcinoma.

Introduction: Chronotherapy is the timing of medication according to biological rhythms of the host to optimize drug efficacy and minimize toxicity. Efficacy and myelosuppression of azathioprine/6-mercaptopurine (AZA/6-MP) are correlated with the metabolite 6-thioguanine, while the metabolite 6-methylmercaptopurine correlates with hepatotoxicity.
Methods: This was a single-center, 10-week prospective crossover trial involving 26 participants with inactive inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on a stable dose and time of AZA or 6-MP therapy.
