Dermoscopic Evaluation of Longitudinal Melanonychia in Children: A Prospective Study.

Background: Longitudinal melanonychia (LM) is a worrisome sign in both children and adults. Nail apparatus melanoma (NAM) can be related to LM, but it is very rare in children. Dermoscopic signs of benign lesions in children can be similar to melanoma; therefore, it is important to review dermoscopy of LM in children to make the best decision in performing biopsy.

Association of Human Herpes Virus 6 Infection with Lichen Planopilaris.

Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is the prototype of cicatricial alopecia and is the follicular form of lichen planus. Some studies showed viral agents such as hepatitis C virus; Epstein Bar virus and human Herpes viruses are associated with classic and oral lichen planus. We conducted this study to find if there is a relationship between LPP and human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6) as this virus is prevalent worldwide.

Pemphigus scalp lesions: is trichoscopy helpful in clinical diagnosis?

Background: Pemphigus is an autoimmune intraepidermal bullous disease which can affect skin and∕or mucous membranes. Trichoscopy is a non-invasive tool that can help in the clinical diagnosis especially if the patient is presented with only scalp lesions. We conducted this study to investigate the trichoscopic features of pemphigus scalp lesions.

Efinaconazole topical solution 10%: Formulation and efficacy assessment in the treatment of toenail onychomycosis.

Background: Efinaconazole is non-lacquer-based with a low surface tension that efficiently targets delivery of active ingredient into the nail and nail bed.

Objectives: To develop an optimal, stable formulation of efinaconazole topical solution 10% (ETS10).

Methods: We evaluated the safety and efficacy of ETS10 on 10 Iranian participants in a pilot, single-group and before-after clinical study, for up to 8 weeks in onychomycosis.
