Sinonasal Burkitt Lymphoma in a 2-Year-Old Child: An Uncommon Case Report.

Burkitt Lymphoma (BL) is a highly aggressive B-type non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It rarely develops at the level of the sinonasal cavities, especially in young children. We present the case of a 2-year-old boy who presented with a 2-month history of nasal obstruction, snoring, and epistaxis followed by a recent dyspnea.

Association between mean platelet volume and cardiovascular disease in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

Objectives: Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is associated with cardiovascular diseases. Mean platelet volume has emerged as a marker of prothrombotic conditions and cardiovascular risk. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the mean platelet volume and cardiovascular diseases in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

[Idiopathic facial paralysis in children].

Background: Idiopathic facial palsy is the most common cause of facial nerve palsy in children. Controversy exists regarding treatment options. The objectives of this study were to review the epidemiological and clinical characteristics as well as the outcome of idiopathic facial palsy in children to suggest appropriate treatment.

Pancreaticojejunostomy vs. pancreaticogastrostomy following pancreaticoduodenectomy: results of comparative study.

Aim: Several techniques have been proposed for reconstructing pancreatico-digestive continuity, which the first goal is reducing the rate of pancreatic leakage after pancreaticoduodenectomy. Only a limited number studies have been carried out. Our objective is to compare the results of pancreaticojejunostomy versus pancreaticogastrostomy following pancreaticoduodenectomy.
