Aim: To identify whether the introduction of low-low hospital beds resulted in changes in the incidence, associated patient harms and event characteristics of bed-related falls where implemented.

Design: This retrospective quality improvement study covered 36 months: 18 months pre-intervention and 18 months post-intervention.

Methods: Our analysis incorporated patient fall data from a hospital in upstate New York.

Physical alginate hydrogels commonly rely on "internal gelation" to introduce the cross-linker, e.g., calcium (Ca(II)) ions.

A novel optical temperature sensor and energy transfer properties based on Tb/Sm codoped SrY(MoO) phosphors.

A series of SrY(MoO) phosphors doped and co-doped with Tb/Sm ions was synthesized to develop new optical temperature sensor materials. The structures, morphologies, and luminescent characteristics of these phosphors were thoroughly investigated. Luminescence spectra of mono-doped SrY(MoO) phosphors were measured under the excitation at 375 and 403 nm corresponding to direct excitation of Tb and Sm, respectively.
