Hand-foot syndrome (HFS) is a common side effect of fluoropyrimidine anticancer drugs and often becomes a dose-limiting manifestation of toxicity once it occurs. The precise mechanism of HFS remains unclear, and effective measures to prevent or relieve it are currently limited.
