Methods that facilitate molecular identification and imaging are required to evaluate drug penetration into tissues. Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS), which has high spatial resolution and allows 3D distribution imaging of organic materials, is suitable for this purpose. Profunda femoris artery aneurysms (PFAAs) are rare because of the histo-anatomical characteristics of the profunda femoris arteries. We present a case of simultaneous PFAA and common femoral artery aneurysm (CFAA) incidentally detected on computed tomography in a 58-year-old man with diverticular bleeding. Images revealed a 37-mm right PFAA and a 24-mm right CFAA.

Fragmentation mechanisms in SIMS are complex because different sputtering and ionization processes can simultaneously occur. Therefore, a prediction system that can identify materials in a sample is required.

A hydrophobic evaporable indano[60] fullerene ketone with low sublimation temperature (CF3-FIDO) was successfully synthesized, providing the fullerene mono-adduct derivative with the lowest sublimation temperature reported to date. The amorphous characteristic of the evaporated film was confirmed by grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Perovskite solar cells using CF3-FIDO as the electron transport layer (ETL) achieved long-term device stability retaining 60% of their initial PCE after 500 h in air.
