Targeting of immune checkpoint regulator V-domain Ig suppressor of T-cell activation (VISTA) with Zr-labelled CI-8993.

Background: CI-8993 is a fully human IgG1κ monoclonal antibody (mAb) that binds specifically to immune checkpoint molecule VISTA (V-domain Ig suppressor of T-cell activation). Phase I safety has been established in patients with advanced cancer (NCT02671955). To determine the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of CI-8993 in patients, we aimed to develop Zr-labelled CI-8993 and validate PET imaging and quantitation in preclinical models prior to a planned human bioimaging trial.

Men, bodywork, health and the potentiality of performance and image-enhancing drugs.

In a qualitative study on masculinity, embodiment and sexuality, we interviewed men who were recreational gym-goers about their bodywork practices in Melbourne, Australia. We also asked whether the men had used performance and image-enhancing drugs (PIEDs) as an adjunct to their bodywork practices. While none had used PIEDs, all were considering, or had considered, using them.

The diagnostic accuracy of temporal artery ultrasound and temporal artery biopsy in giant cell arteritis: A single center Australian experience over 10 years.

Aim: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of temporal artery ultrasound compared with temporal artery biopsy and clinical diagnosis in patients with suspected giant cell arteritis (GCA) over 10 years in an Australian center.

Method: Patients presenting to Westmead Hospital with possible GCA from March 2011 to December 2020 were retrospectively identified. The following parameters were obtained from the medical record: clinical presentation, inflammatory markers, temporal artery ultrasound findings, and temporal artery biopsy report.

Tc-labelled glucosamine in the assessment of systemic sclerosis inflammatory lung disease: a novel inexpensive investigative tool with predictive value.

Objective: To evaluate the role of Tc-labelled glucosamine [Tc-ECDG] as a clinical biomarker for the early detection of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in systemic sclerosis (SSc).

Methods: In this prospective pilot study, glucosamine scanning (GS) was performed in 15 SSc patients, with and without ILD. Collected data included patient disease characteristics, autoantibody profile, GS results, high-resolution computerised tomography [HRCT], pulmonary function tests [PFT], and transthoracic echocardiogram [TTE].
