Purpose: To determine the prevalence of cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) in patients with idiopathic bilateral juvenile cataract in Turkey.
Methods: In this multicenter, epidemiologic observational study, patients with idiopathic bilateral juvenile cataract (aged ≥1 year at study entry) were identified from the records of 31 ophthalmology clinics. The Mignarri suspicion index determined in all potential CTX patients; blood samples were collected, and genetic testing for CYP27A1 gene mutation was performed.
The role of healthcare workers in life-long vaccination is very important in the means of 2 sided infection, rising patient awareness and being a role model for the patients. Numerous organizations publish guidelines for vaccination of HCWs, while healthcare facilities develop vaccination policies according to the accreditation standards. Nevertheless, vaccination rates among HCWs are far below targets.

Objective: Substantial controversy exists regarding anesthetic management for patients with preeclampsia or hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count (HELLP) syndrome. Experts, researchers, clinicians, and residents in Turkey were surveyed about their practices.
Material And Methods: Questionnaires were distributed to attendees at a national conference, and they were filled out immediately.
Objective: In Turkey, the prevalence of diabetes is high but the influenza vaccination coverage rate (VCR) is low (9.1% in 2014), despite vaccination being recommended and reimbursed. This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of increasing the influenza VCR of adults with type 2 diabetes in Turkey to 20%.
