Coexistence of kidney and lung hydatid cyst in a child: A case report.

Hydatid cyst (HC) is a zoonotic disease that often affects regions where animal husbandry is common and preventive measures are not taken. This disease mostly affects the liver and the lungs. Involvement of other organs, such as the kidney, musculoskeletal system, and intracranial structures, is rare.

Prospective Evaluation of Clinical Outcomes of the Subchondroplasty Procedure for Treatment of Symptomatic Bone Marrow Lesions of the Knee.

Bone marrow lesions (BMLs) have a strong correlation to patient-reported pain, functional limitations, joint deterioration, and rapid progression to total knee arthroplasty. The Subchondroplasty (SCP) procedure uses AccuFill, a calcium phosphate bone substitute material (BSM), to treat bone defects such as microtrabecular fractures and BML. This observational, prospective, multicenter, cohort study evaluated the effect of the SCP procedure at the 2-year follow-up for 70 patients with knee BML.

Objectives: It has been shown that growth factors and small molecules play an essential role in the proliferation of β cells and insulin production. In this study, we investigated the effects of small molecules (WS6 and 5-iodotubercidin) and growth factors (TGFβ, HGF, and EGF) on the proliferation of β-like human ipSCs.

Methods: iPSCs derived β cells were treated with small molecules and growth factors.

The role of single-dose prophylactic methotrexate in the prevention of post-molar gestational trophoblastic neoplasia in patients with high-risk molar pregnancy.

Introduction: Prophylactic chemotherapy (PC) has been suggested to be effective in prevention of post molar gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (PGTN) in patients with high-risk molar pregnancies. The goal of this study is to assess the efficacy of single dose methotrexate as PC in terms of spontaneous remission, time to remission, and progression to PGTN.

Materials And Methods: Patients with molar pregnancy were recruited to the study and underwent cervical dilation and suction curettage.

Clinical features and survival rate of patients with ovarian granulosa cell tumor in Iran; a 10-year retrospective study.

Introduction: Ovarian granulosa cell tumor (OGCT) is a rare female pathology with few available demographic data. Besides, there are no comprehensive clinical characteristics regarding the OGCT in Iran. Thus, this study aimed to assess the clinical features and survival rate of OGCT patients in Iran to expand the scope of knowledge in this field.
