Dental Anomalies in a Sample of Lebanese Children: a Retrospective Study.

Background: Dental anomalies (DAs) represent a significant chapter in pediatric dentistry with a lot of practical relevance. Both primary and permanent dentitions may be affected.

Objective: The main objective of our study was to evaluate, using digital panoramic radiographs, the prevalence, distribution, and patterns of DAs in a sample of Lebanese children aged between 8 and 15 years old.

Treatments Performed on First Permanent Molars in a Sample of Lebanese Children: A Five-Year Retrospective Analysis.

Background: Dental caries remains one of the most prevalent worldwide chronic diseases and an expensive burden to healthcare services despite significant preventative measures Objective: Dental caries is a multifactorial chronic disease that occurs in early childhood and persists until adulthood. The first permanent molars (FPMs) are the earliest permanent molars to erupt what makes them vulnerable to caries among children and adolescents. Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of different types of treatments performed on FPMs in 7-10-year-old Lebanese patients.

Presentations of Routine Dental Interventions in Children over a Six-Year Period.

Aim: To evaluate over a six-year period, the prevalence of the dental procedures in primary and mixed dentitions, in males and females.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective descriptive study on dental treatments in primary and mixed dentitions was conducted in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Lebanese University, from 2015 to 2020. The total number of children was 1291.

Hereditary Gingival Fibromatosis: A Report of a Severe Case.

Hereditary gingival fibromatosis (HGF) is an uncommon condition characterized by a benign, local, or diffuse gingival overgrowth. It may cover the teeth partially or totally, causing essential aesthetic, phonetic, and masticatory disorders. In this report, we discuss a case of an 11-year-old boy who presented with severe gingival enlargement.

Local and Systemic Effects of Cyclosporine A on the Severity of Gingival Overgrowth in Post-Transplant Renal Patients.

Background: Cyclosporine A (CsA) is a potent immunosuppressant widely used to prevent renal post transplantation rejection. Gingival overgrowth (GO) is among various side effects of the long-term administration of CsA. Up to 90% of the patients under CsA therapy has been reported to develop CsA-induced GO.
