Immunodeficiency-related high-grade B-cell lymphoma with 11q aberration: Further evidence for a lymphoma entity from a patient with simultaneous papillary renal cell carcinoma following pediatric kidney transplant.

Various aggressive lymphomas entities have been associated with immunodeficiency. To provide further evidence that also MYC-negative high-grade B-cell (formerly Burkitt-like) lymphoma with 11q aberrations comprises an immunodeficiency-related subtype, we here conducted a comprehensive pathological and genetic workup of a 25-year-old patient with this type of lymphoma and simultaneous papillary renal cell carcinoma. The patient developed both malignancies following extensive childhood immunosuppression and a kidney transplant.

Thirteen year experience of vitrectomy and air tamponade for primary retinal detachment repair with clinical outcomes.

Purpose: To report outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with air tamponade for primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) and investigate the impact of vitreous cortex remnants (VCR) on surgical outcomes.

Methods: A retrospective review of 900 patients treated for uncomplicated primary RRD between 2007 and 2020. Exclusion criteria included axial length > 26 mm, prior retinal surgery, giant retinal tear, PVR grade > B, and inadequate follow-up.

Background: The use of mobile applications helps improving self-management in adolescents with asthma. However, no evidence is available for children with preschool wheezing. In addition, we have no data on the reliability of medical history collected at visits.

Alport syndrome is a rare genetic kidney disease caused by variants in the COL4A3/A4/A5 genes. It's characterised by progressive kidney failure, though therapies targeting Renin-Angiotensin System can delay its progression. Additionally, extrarenal manifestations may sometimes coexist.
