Background: For a periodontist, treating recession is always a proud moment and a challenging task. The current trial aimed at comparing and clinically evaluating semilunar coronally repositioned flap (SCRF) and coronally advanced flap (CAF) procedures combined with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in the management of Miller's Class I recession defects.

Materials And Methods: Thirty-six recession sites were randomly divided into the CAF or SCRF groups.

Reusable Ni-Immobilized MOF Catalyst for Dehydrogenation of N-Heterocycles Under Milder Conditions.

Herein, we have demonstrated the design and synthesis of a novel Ni-immobilized MOF as heterogeneous catalyst for the dehydrogenation of N-heterocycles. A series of five and six-membered N-heteroarenes bearing one or more heteroatoms were synthesized in up to 98 % yield (>33 examples). Late stage functionalization to the synthesis of β-glucuronides inhibitor, antimalarial drug quinine, and the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indomethacin were obtained under milder reactions conditions.

Nanobots: An endodontist saviour.

The application of nanoparticles in the form of solution for irrigation, medication and as an additive for sealer/restorative material has been evaluated to improve the antibacterial efficacy in the field of endodontics. Recently developed nanobots are injected into the teeth to destroy pathogens and they are more effective in root canal therapy. They are helical shaped and composed of silicon dioxide with iron embedded into the silica body to provide magnetic properties.

A 63-year-old woman presented with hypokalemia, hypertension, weight gain, limb edema, and tremors. She was diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, with a 24-hour urine cortisol level of 41,013 nmol/day. Investigations revealed a grade 2 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor with extensive hepatic metastases.
