Nanocomposite films of BiFeO-BiFeO were fabricated on a sapphire substrate AlO using the method of gas discharge high-frequency cathodic sputtering of a ceramic target with a stoichiometric composition in an oxygen atmosphere. The results of the film analysis using X-ray structural analysis, Raman scattering, XPS, and atomic force microscopy are presented. The lattice parameters, surface topography, chemical composition of the films, concentration, and average sizes of the crystallites for each phase were determined.

In this work a multi-technique characterization was performed for the first time to trace the influence of structural defects on the physical properties of PbTiO ferroelectrics. The structural defects were generated by the mechanical activation in the pressure range of 40-320 MPa, by combining a uniaxial strain with a shear deformation in the Bridgman anvils. The induced defectivity of PbTiO was assessed via calculation of unit cell parameters, estimation of the regions of coherent scattering and analysis of micro-deformations.

Objective: To use the mammographic image processing algorithm developed by the authors in order to identify a cyst area.

Material And Methods: The investigations used statistical methods for processing the mammographic films in women with different breast abnormalities, which were taken in the mammography room, Departmental Hospital at the Murom Station, OAO "RZhD", in the first half of 2012. Taking into account the incidence of breast cysts and difficulty in its detection, the authors proposed a specially oriented algorithm to identify a cyst area.
