Background Clinicians use prognostic biomarker/multi-gene-based tests for predicting recurrence in hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-) early-stage breast cancer (EBC). CanAssist Beast (CAB) uses the expression of five protein biomarkers in combination with tumor-specific parameters such as tumor size, histopathological grade, and lymph node status to predict the risk of distant recurrence within five years of diagnosis for patients with HR+/HER2-, EBC. The current study aimed to evaluate the impact of prognostic tests on adjuvant chemotherapy decisions by assessing the agreement between clinical and CAB risk stratification as low-risk (LR) or high-risk (HR) for distant recurrence.

The 1gene, which confers colistin resistance, is often carried on plasmids, facilitating its spread by horizontal gene transfer among bacterial populations. The rising prevalence of 1mediated resistance poses significant challenges for infection control and treatment efficacy.

This mixed methods study aimed to quantify psychological impacts and explore personal experiences among first responders after the Bahanaga train accident that killed 294 passengers in the month of June 2023.
Methods: For qualitative data, in-depth interviews (IDIs) were conducted, and quantitative data was collected using the PTSD checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), generalized anxiety disorder scale (GAD-7), and patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9) for symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety.
Efficient catalysts for soot oxidation are critical for mitigating environmental pollution. In this study, CoMnO spinel catalysts were synthesised using reverse co-precipitation and co-precipitation methods to evaluate their performance in soot oxidation and kinetic behaviour. All samples exhibited a tetragonal phase (XRD) and spherical morphology with rough surfaces (SEM).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOligonucleotides have emerged as a formidable new class of nucleic acid therapeutics. Fully modified oligonucleotides exhibit enhanced metabolic stability and display successful clinical applicability for targets formerly considered "undruggable". Accumulating studies show that conjugation to targeting modalities of stabilized oligonucleotides, especially small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), has enabled robust delivery to intended cells/tissues.
