A New Technique for the Treatment of Venous Popliteal Aneurysms Using the Axillary Vein: Medium and Long-Term Results.

Background: Venous popliteal aneurysms are a rare but serious disease due to the risk of pulmonary embolism (PE). Aneurysms larger than 20 mm in diameter or with an embolic episode should be treated. The classic surgical technique is the tangential resection of the aneurysm with venorrhaphy, which may raise the risk of recurrence.

Background: Open surgical repair of suprarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (SRAAA) and type IV thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA) remains a surgical challenge because of the inducted intraoperative visceral and renal ischemia. We report a novel three-step technique named debranch, perfuse, reconstruct (DPR), using debranching and passive arterial shunt to decrease these ischemic complications. The main aim of this study was to evaluate the 30-day and 1-year mortality rates associated with these DPR technique.

Da Vinci Robotic Assistance for Anterolateral Lumbar Arthrodesis: Results of a French Multicentric Study.

Background: The da Vinci robot (DVR) is the most widely used robot in abdominal, urological, and gynecological surgery. Due to its minimally invasive approach, the DVR has demonstrated its effectiveness and improved safety in these different disciplines. The aim of our study was to report its use in an anterior approach of complex lumbar surgery.
