Purpose: The optic nerve (ON) is mechanically perturbed by eye movements that shift cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within its surrounding dural sheath. This study compared changes in ON length and CSF volume within the intraorbital ON sheath caused by eye movements in healthy subjects and patients with optic neuropathies.
Methods: Twenty-one healthy controls were compared with 11 patients having primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) at normal intraocular pressure (IOP), and 11 with chronic non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NA-AION).

Background: The Advanced Cardiac Therapies Improving Outcomes Network (ACTION) began in 2018 as a collaborative learning health system committed to improving outcomes in pediatric heart failure, including children and adults with congenital heart disease, supported with ventricular assist devices (VADs). This report describes patient and device characteristics, and outcomes through 1-year post-implant.
Methods: The ACTION VAD registry report was created from data submitted to the ACTION learning network from April 2018 to June 2023.
Clinical leverages and pressures are often utilized in psychiatric treatment settings. Clinicians know they are controversial but think of them as useful and relatively harmless. Perception of coercion is known to be deleterious to therapeutic relationship and clinical outcomes.

This leads to disability and reduced quality of life. Neither the cause of this phenotype transition, nor why it occurs around the age of 40 is known.

Design: Prospective cohort study.
Participants: 110 eyes with ≥4 RNFL optical coherence tomography scans and ≥2 years of follow-up.
