Unlabelled: An intratissual electrical stimulation, accompanied by irritation of their central neurons, is used to recover the function of damaged peripheral nerves. Treatment results exceeded those with the use of cutaneous electrical stimulation, which is confirmed by comparative results of trial animal experiments. The time and quality of peripheral nerves' function recovery in comparison of intratissual and cutaneous electrical stimulation methods remain unknown.

A substantial improvement of potency and selectivity of imidazoline-based inhibitors of hCA VII (a promising target for the treatment of seizures and neuropathic pain) was achieved by simply switching the position of the benzenesulfonamide moiety from N (as in the earlier reported series) to C. Selectivity indices vs the off-target isoforms (hCA I, I, I and IV) greater than 100 were reached, which is exceedingly rare for hCA VII inhibitors. The drastic profile improvement of the new series has been rationalized by an additional hydrogen bonding with the nonconserved Q69 residue in the active site of hCA VII (absent in the other three isoforms studied), which also results in a favorable accommodation of the inhibitor's lipophilic periphery in the nearby hydrophobic pocket.

We study an epitaxial graphene monolayer with bilayer inclusions via magnetotransport measurements and scanning gate microscopy at low temperatures. We find that bilayer inclusions can be metallic or insulating depending on the initial and gated carrier density. The metallic bilayers act as equipotential shorts for edge currents, while closely spaced insulating bilayers guide the flow of electrons in the monolayer constriction, which was locally gated using a scanning gate probe.

To define the severity of bronchial asthma, to predict its subsequent course, and to prescribe adequate glucocorticosteroid therapy, a mathematical model based on the cluster analysis was used. The authors' algorithm of the classification of bronchial asthma was based on the cluster analysis was used. The authors' algorithm of the classification of bronchial asthma was based on the mean distance value between the objects characterizing patients' status and hyperspatial signs.

The method of acupuncture may be used for postoperative rehabilitation of patients operated upon for Hirschsprung's disease. It can be one of main methods of treatment of postoperative complications which are of functional character. If there was no effect of the repeated course of acupuncture in patients with a long hypoganglionic zone of the descended gut, the latter must be resected within the healthy limits.
