This study investigates the formation of carbon dioxide clathrate hydrates under conditions simulating interstellar environments, a process of significant astrophysical and industrial relevance. Clathrate hydrates, where gas molecules are trapped within water ice cages, play an essential role in both carbon sequestration strategies and understanding of the behavior of ices in space. We employed a combination of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations to explore thin films of HO:CO ice mixtures with varying CO concentrations (5-75%) prepared by vapor deposition at temperatures ranging between 11 and 180 K.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by lack of the estrogen (ER) receptor, progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2), and standard receptor-targeted therapies are ineffective. FOXC1, a transcription factor aberrantly overexpressed in many cancers, drives growth, metastasis, and stem-cell-like properties in TNBC. However, the molecular function of FOXC1 is unknown, partly due to heterogeneity of TNBC.

Along with the known risk factors of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) constituting metabolic syndrome (MS), the gut microbiome and some of its metabolites, in particular trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO), are actively discussed. A prolonged stay under natural hypoxic conditions significantly and multi-directionally changes the ratio of gut microbiome strains and their metabolites in feces and blood, which is the basis for using hypoxia preconditioning for targeted effects on potential risk factors of CVD. A prospective randomized study included 65 patients (32 females) with MS and optimal medical therapy.

The purpose of this study is to perform a zoogeographic analysis of terrestrial true bugs (Heteroptera) in the Lower Amudarya Territory, Uzbekistan. According to the findings of a literature review, there are 149 species of terrestrial hemipterans in the Territory. All hemipteran species, with the possible exception of five, have most likely been misidentified.
