Article Synopsis
  • Regeneration of the sciatic nerve relies on multiple signaling pathways, such as MAPK, PI3K/AKT, cAMP, and JAK/STAT, which are crucial for cellular responses necessary for healing.* -
  • The cAMP pathway promotes neuronal survival and axon growth, while MAPK supports Schwann cell differentiation and myelination, and PI3K/AKT plays a key role in cell survival and gene expression.* -
  • Understanding how these pathways interact is essential for creating new treatments for sciatic nerve injuries, highlighting the need for more research to enhance recovery outcomes.*

Multiple reviews have examined the impact of nutritional interventions in patients with burn injuries; however, discrepancies among results cast doubt about their validity. We implemented this review to assess the impact of various nutritional interventions in adult patients with burn injuries. We conducted a thorough search of PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases until 1 August 2024, to identify relevant meta-analyses of intervention trials, examining the impact of nutritional interventions on burn patients.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hostile hematological malignancy under great danger of relapse and poor long-term survival rates, despite recent therapeutic advancements. To deal with this unfulfilled clinical necessity, innovative cell-based immunotherapies have surfaced as promising approaches to improve anti-tumor immunity and enhance patient outcomes. In this comprehensive review, we provide a detailed examination of the latest developments in cell-based immunotherapies for AML, including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, T-cell receptor (TCR)-engineered T-cell therapy, and natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies.

This study aimed to investigate the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties of skin and Flesh methanol extract and essential oil of two varieties of species of L in Iran (northern and southern oranges). This study evaluated total phenol and flavonoid contents and the antioxidant activity of methanol extracts at different concentrations (25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 μg/ml). Albumin denaturation inhibition and RBC membrane immobilisation assays were used as an model to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects.
