Background: This study was conducted to compare chemical, elemental and surface properties of sound and carious dentin after application of two restorative materials resin-modified glassionomer claimed to be bioactive and glass hybrid restorative material after enzymatic chemomechanical caries removal (CMCR) agent.

Methods: Forty carious and twenty non-carious human permanent molars were used. Molars were randomly distributed into three main groups: Group 1 (negative control) - sound molars, Group 2 (positive control) - molars were left without caries removal and Group 3 (Test Group) caries excavated with enzymatic based CMCR agent.

Objective: Evaluate and compare the 5-year clinical performance of three high-viscosity glass ionomer restorative materials in small class II restorations.

Materials And Methods: Forty patients, each with four class II restorations, were enrolled in this trial. A total of 160 restorations were placed, 25% for each material, as follows: three high-viscosity conventional glass ionomer restorative systems (Ketac Universal Aplicap, EQUIA Forte and Riva Self Cure HV) and a microhybrid resin composite system (Filtek Z250).

Aim: The present systematic review and meta-analysis (SR/MA) aimed to test the null hypothesis that there is no difference between socket-shield technique (SST) and conventional immediate implant placement (CIIP) as an esthetic rehabilitation option for permanent human anterior teeth, against the alternative one of a difference.

Background: Socket-shield technique is considered as a highly promising procedure that has the potential to prevent resorption of anterior alveolar ridges, maintains white and pink esthetics, and provides a solution for esthetically critical cases. Controlled randomized clinical trials (RCT) and nonrandomized ones had been identified by searching the following databases: Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed.
