Objective: To examine specialty pediatric palliative care (SPPC) and end-of-life care for children with advanced heart disease in Alabama, including rates of and disparities in SPPC involvement.

Study Design: We performed a retrospective study from electronic health records of children (≤21 years at death) who died with advanced heart disease at a single institution between 2012 and 2019 (n = 128). The main outcome was SPPC consult; we assessed clinical and sociodemographic factors associated with SPPC.

Introduction: There is a lack of community-based rehabilitation for stroke in the Philippines, and research on this topic is limited. Different challenges may be encountered in urban and rural settings. The aim of the Tulong, Ugnayan ng Lingap At gabaY (TULAY) project is to develop a context-appropriate, community-based stroke support programme, consisting of self-management and training resources to augment the rehabilitation and recovery process.

Unlabelled: Tau reduction is a promising therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer's disease. In numerous models, tau reduction via genetic knockout is beneficial, at least in part due to protection against hyperexcitability and seizures, but the underlying mechanisms are unclear. Here we describe the generation and initial study of a new conditional Tau model to address these mechanisms.

This randomized controlled trial tested the Family Assessment and Feedback Intervention (FAFI), a new intervention to enhance family engagement with emotional and behavioral health services. The FAFI is a guided conversation with families about results of their multidimensional assessment that is set in the context of motivational enhancement. It differs from other assessment-with-feedback interventions by extending the focus of assessment beyond the target child to parents and the family environment, addressing parental emotional and behavioral problems and competencies, spanning a broad range of children's and parents' strengths and difficulties, and being generalizable to many settings and practitioners.
