Introduction: Neutropenia, defined as a decrease in the absolute neutrophil count lower than the normal that is < 1500 cell/ ?l, has a detrimental effect on cancer patients' quality of life, also possibly resulting in a reduction in the chemotherapy dose which could lead to an increment in the size of a cancer. There are so many causative factors for neutropenia like hematological disorders, autoimmune diseases and infection, drugs reactions and chemotherapy or radiotherapy. So the main aim of this study is to find the association between chemotherapy drug or regimens, schedule of administration used for treatment of solid cancer diseases with neutropenia onset and severity.

Introduction: Thrombocytopenia denotes abnormal decreases in platelet numbers and is a major detrimental side effect of the chemotherapy or cancer disease itself which cal lead to hemorrhage from vital organ. This is particularly a problem for the brain specifically within solid cancer patients and has a great negative effect on cancer patients quality of life (QOL). It ranges from mild bleeding from small blood vessels to severe bleeding from large blood vessels.

The importance of psychosocial factors in psychological adjustment and coping in children with cancer and their families is well recognized. In this study, parental attitudes, children's self-perceptions, and families' coping were studied in 38 children with leukemia, 30 children with juvenile diabetes, and 30 control subjects. Children with cancer scored themselves more negatively than their parents on all the subscales except scholastic competence, while children with diabetes scored negatively in the area of athletic competence.

Psychosocial factors were studied in 30 young people with diabetes and 30 control subjects in the UAE. Patients perceived themselves more negatively than their parents on several domains. Also, they had lower scores in the areas of physical appearance and athletic competence when compared to control subjects.

Objective: To ascertain the prevalence and correlates of disordered eating attitudes and symptomatology in a school-based Arab population.

Methods: A representative stratified random sample of 495 adolescent girls completed the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-40) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A randomly selected subgroup from the those who scored above the recommended cut-off of 30 on the EAT-40 and an equal number of those who scored below 30 were interviewed in stage 2 by a psychiatrist, blind to the EAT scores, using the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia (KSADS) and DSM-IV criteria for the presence of eating disorders.
