Primary Sinonasal Lymphoma: A Rare Cause of Cranial Neuropathies.

Primary sinonasal lymphomas are a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) with an overall incidence of about 1% of all head and neck cancers. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of NHL and it most commonly occurs in elderly men. The diagnosis of such a lymphoma is difficult because of its varied presentation, which usually occurs late after a significant mass effect has taken place.

[Influence of the blood gas composition and mechanical ventilation parameters of the medical evacuation prognosis of critically ill patients.].

The clinical estimation of the state of patient is one of the basic components of the checking of the state of patient, but more precise and more objective indices today become necessary. The arterial blood gases analysis helps to select the optimum regime of mechanical ventilation. The medical evacuation of the critically ill patients frequently requires the correction of the parameters of respiratory support.

Classic Hodgkin lymphoma with initial extranodal osseous presentation: a case report and literature review.

Initial extranodal osseous presentation of Classic Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL) is extremely rare. The present study describes a case of CHL in an 11-year-old male presenting with lower back and right hip pain. Radiologic imaging showed a solitary lytic lesion involving the L5 vertebrae and sacrum.

Comparison of two techniques for selection of master gutta-percha cone using micro-computed tomography.

This study used micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) to evaluate the fit of the master gutta-percha cone at time of cone fit, gutta-percha volume in the filling material, and the filling material volume in relation to the canal at the apical limit of the working length. Root canals of 20 maxillary central incisors were prepared with rotary instruments and distributed into two groups (n=10). The gutta-percha cone tip was either plasticized (apical thermal impression technique - ATI) or not (conventional technique - CT), and its apical fit was checked.

[Epidemiology of occupational diseases in Tarnow and Tarnow District in years 1994-2003].

An occurance and analysis of occupational diseases found in years 1994-2003 by State District Sanitary Inspector in Tarnow among workers of working places from Tarnow and Tarnow district were presented. In the discussed decade the following occupational diseases were dominate: bilateral permanent noise - induced hearing loss of cochlear type, chronic diseases of vocal organ related to excessive vocal effort and infections and parasitic diseases or their sequels. A diversification of the occupational diseases occurance among women and men was showed.
