Objectives: Pulmonary papillomatosis is a rare but severe manifestation of recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). Efficacy data of systemic bevacizumab for pulmonary RRP are limited. This study's objective was to characterize disease response of pulmonary RRP to systemic bevacizumab.

Purpose: Cleft palate repair surgeries lack a regenerative reconstructive option and, in many cases, develop complications including oronasal fistula (ONF). Our group has developed a novel murine phenocopy of ONF to study the oral cavity wound healing program. Using this model, our team previously identified that delivery of FTY720 on a nanofiber scaffold had a unique immunomodulatory effect directing macrophages and monocytes into a pro-regenerative state during ONF healing.

Observation of Retropharyngeal Fluid Collection in 2 COVID-19 Positive Patients.

Our understanding of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, is growing; yet, there remains much we do not understand, and unique presentations are abundant. One potential presentation is retropharyngeal edema, defined as fluid in the retropharyngeal space. Multiplanar imaging with computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging is ideal for characterizing and diagnosing these fluid collections rapidly as possible life-threatening complications may develop (eg, airway obstruction and mediastinitis).

Laryngeal Blastomycosis, an Unexpected Diagnosis: A Case Report.

Isolated laryngeal blastomycosis is an extremely rare entity with few cases described in the medical literature. Nonspecific and chronic presenting symptoms such as dysphonia, dyspnea, dysphagia, and/or cough are described, with isolated reports requiring urgent management related to respiratory distress. We present a case report of a 63-year-old immunocompetent female diagnosed with isolated laryngeal blastomycosis, document the treatment regimen and subsequent clinical course.
