Background: Precise and accurate glenoid preparation is important for the success of shoulder arthroplasty. Despite advancements in preoperative planning software and enabling technologies, most surgeons execute the procedure manually. Patient-specific instrumentation (PSI) facilitates accurate glenoid guide pin placement for cannulated reaming; however, few commercially available systems offer depth of reaming control.

Aims: In patients with a failed radial head arthroplasty (RHA), simple removal of the implant is an option. However, there is little information in the literature about the outcome of this procedure. The aim of this study was to review the mid-term clinical and radiological results, and the rate of complications and removal of the implant, in patients whose initial RHA was undertaken acutely for trauma involving the elbow.

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is an important protein used for bovine ovarian hyperstimulation in multiple ovulation and embryo transfer technology (MOET). Several attempts to produce bovine FSH (bFSH) in recombinant systems have been reported, nonetheless, up to date, the most commonly used products are partially purified preparations derived from porcine or ovine (pFSH or oFSH) pituitaries. Here we describe the development of a biotechnology process to produce a novel, hyperglycosylated, long-acting recombinant bFSH (LA-rbFSH) by fusing copies of a highly O-glycosylated peptide.

Purpose/aim Of The Study: There is still no evidence of which drug has the greatest therapeutic potential for post-traumatic arthrofibrosis. The aim of this study is to systematically review the literature for quality evidence and perform a meta-analysis about the pharmacological therapies of post-traumatic arthrofibrosis in preclinical models.

Materials And Methods: A comprehensive and systematic search strategy was performed in three databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE and Web of Science) retrieving studies on the effectiveness of pharmacological therapies in the management of post-traumatic arthrofibrosis using preclinical models in terms of biomechanical outcomes.

Background: Newer generation humeral stem designs in total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) are trending towards shorter lengths and uncemented fixation. The goal of this study is to report a 2-yr minimum clinical and radiographic outcomes of an uncemented short-stem press-fit humeral stem in anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (ATSA) and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA).

Methods: A retrospective multicenter database review was performed of all patients who received an uncemented short-length press-fit humeral stem (Equinoxe Preserve humeral stem, Exactech, Inc.
