Oral myiasis is an extremely rare form of the disease, with open mouth, unconsciousness, and poor oral hygiene being the predisposing factors.   • In comparing 44 women with PCOS to 36 healthy women, it was found that those with PCOS had significantly lower scores for sour and salty tastes, although sweet and bitter tastes were similar between the groups.
  • After a 3-month period of using oral contraceptives, the taste scores remained unchanged in the PCOS group, but they did experience a notable reduction in food cravings, particularly in the lack of control over eating.

Unlabelled: Gitelman syndrome is a rare renal tubule disease characterized by hypokalaemia, metabolic alkalosis, hypomagnesaemia, hypocalciuria and normal blood pressure. It shows autosomal recessive inheritance and is usually not diagnosed until late childhood or adulthood. We report the case of 34-year-old woman who at 21 weeks of pregnancy was admitted to the gynaecology department for abdominal pain, muscle cramps and weakness.
