: Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists such as liraglutide are known for their neuroprotective effects in neurodegenerative disorders, but their role in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) remains unclear. We aimed to investigate the effects of liraglutide on several biological processes, including inflammation, antioxidant defense mechanisms, mitochondrial dynamics, and function, as well as cognitive and behavioral changes in the TLE model. : Low-dose, repeated intraperitoneal injections of lithium chloride-pilocarpine hydrochloride were used to induce status epilepticus (SE) in order to develop TLE in rats.

Endoscopy-assisted high cervical anterolateral retropharyngeal approach to clivus: a cadaveric study.

Introduction: The surgical management of pathologies involving the clivus and craniocervical junction has always been considered a complex procedure because of the deeply located surgical targets and the surrounding complex neural and vascular anatomical structures. The most commonly used approaches to reach this area are the transnasal, transoral, and transcervical approaches.

The purpose of this study is to develop a method for synthesizing mathematical models of interconnected units of fuzzy chemical-technological systems (CTS) used for system modeling and optimization of their operating modes in a fuzzy environment. Since many CTSs in practice consist of many interconnected units, the development of their mathematical models combined into a single system of models, which allows systematic modeling and optimization of CTS parameters, is an urgent scientific and practical task. To develop a system of models of fuzzy described CTS, consisting of interconnected units, a system of methods is used that combines formal (experimental-statistical) and informal methods (methods of peer review, fuzzy set theory).

Blood flow reflects the eye's health and is disrupted in many diseases. Many pathological processes take place at the cellular level like as microcirculation of blood in vessels, and the processing of medical images is a difficult recognition task. Existing techniques for measuring blood flow are limited due to the complex assumptions, equipment and calculations requirements.
