Choriocarcinoma is a highly aggressive, malignant tumor that arises from trophoblastic cells. Although choriocarcinomas usually arise in the genital organs, they can also originate in extragenital organs, but gastrointestinal tract lesions are rare. Gastrointestinal choriocarcinoma can be primary or metastatic.
